Nothing says more about a business than a client review, so here is one of her clients that purchased multiple Peacock hooks from Kelli. Look at how beautiful these hooks are!

Jennifer Louden's Peacock Hooks by Sick 'Lil Monkeys | The Crochet Lounge™

The Crochet Lounge™ Open Quotation Mark

I originally found Sick ‘Lil Monkeys through Facebook and my crochet addiction. I had been searching for some custom hooks and wanted to find a small business to buy from. From our initial conversations I knew I found the right place with Sick ‘Lil Monkeys!

I knew I wanted a hook that resembled one of my peacocks but I didn’t have anything specific in mind. I sent Kelli some pictures and we chatted a few times before she sent me a picture of the first design. It was absolutely perfect and so much more than I even imagined!

Kelli kept me updated on my hook and it arrived to me in absolutely perfect condition. After my first hook, I was..well, hooked!

I have since went back to purchase several more hooks because I was thrilled with the cost, quality and the extreme attention to detail in each one. I truly feel my work is better with her hooks and I’ve found renewed inspiration to create.

Each hook is unique and special and I can clearly see the love and attention put into each one. They are truly a work of art!” ~Jennifer Louden of Louden Farms

While she is a for profit business, she takes pride in her charity work and has affected many lives one at a time. This xmas, Sick ‘Lil Monkeys and her partner in charity, The Hookeraholic Crochet also has quite a few of their fans helping with select families’ holiday needs.

TCL_OpenQuotationMark My grandma sews beautiful quilts. She has tried to teach me to sew, but sadly, sewing and I just don’t get along. I have always loved seeing her finished products and the joy is brings the recipients of all her hard work. She made a quilt for me that is absolutely stunning. Years ago, I displayed it on a spare bed in my home to enjoy it’s beauty. I ended up moving it to a quilt rack from fear of my cats damaging it. I missed the pretty quilt on the bed. I was at a yard sale and saw the ‘Annie’s Attic Ultimate Quilt Book’ and fell in love with this pattern. I immediately bought the yarn to make this. One thing or another kept getting in my way, then I had my first son, then went back to college, then had my second son… and 6 years later I decided it was time to take that yarn off the shelf and make my blanket. I have seen so many beautiful variations of the corner to corner afghans here on facebook, and before I would make a regular one, I told myself I would start and finish this. I can’t wait to have this 100% complete and laid out in my home!

Here’s a look at Dana’s quilt from her grandmother that inspired her to crochet and finish this UFO/WIP/almost done awesomeness.

Have you had a project like this one? Mine is a Starghan for a friend’s child who is now 5 - so about the same amount of time as Dana’s hiatus on this crochet Amish Star. Needless to say, I just can’t get myself to pick up that hook dcdcdcdcddcdcdc ch2 dcdcdcdcdcdcdc dc2tog >.< Sorry Ann & Kyler!
