If you haven’t noticed the random order the alphabet patterns are arriving in… I’ll let you in on a tiny secret… I love yarny designs that don’t have unnecessary tails to weave and tuck, and I love playing with shaping because it hones my hookin’ skills, so I wait until I see the piece in my mind’s eye done as a one-piece vs. breaking yarn before I hook and post. There are several letters sitting in the WIP pile because I think they can look better than their current iteration. MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmm x-ray of the mind 
Materials:
- Worsted Weight #4 Yarn
- Size F/3.75mm hook
- Tapestry needle
Stitches Used:
fsc, ch, sc, slst
Foundation single crochet (fsc) – ch2, insert hook into 2nd chain from hook, yo draw up a loop, yo draw through 1 (this creates the next foundation chain), yo draw through 2 (this completes the single crochet)
*insert hook into the next foundation chain just created, yo draw up a loop, yo draw through 1, yo draw through 2
Repeat from * until total fsc completed
Chain (ch) - yo (yarn over), pull through loop on hook
Single crochet (sc) - insert hook in indicated stitch, yo draw up a loop, yo draw through 2
Slip Stitch (slst) - insert hook in indicated stitch, yo draw through stitch as well as the loop on hook

Row 1:
Ch1, turn, sc in turning fsc, sc in next fsc 7 times [8sc]
<Note: This is the 2nd row of the first leg of the X, when done, each stroke will be composed of 3 rows of sc>Row 2:
Ch10, do not turn, sc in second ch from hook, sc in each st across, slst to next fsc [9sc, slst]Row 3:
Turn, sc in each st across [9sc]Row 4:
Ch1, turn, sc in each st across, sc join to next fsc [10sc]

Working in the remaining fsc stitches, sc in next st 7 times, 2sc in lst st [9sc]

Rotate your work 90degrees clockwise for righties, counter clockwise for lefties and continue to work AROUND the foundation row (working into the side of the next leg of the X)
Sc into side of fsc, 2sc in corner [3sc+1sc for new row]Row 6:
Rotate your work 90degrees clockwise for righties, counter clockwise for lefties and work down the other side of the fsc
