It’s a Pineapple!

Crochet Lattice Shell Wrist Bag,

Opera Bag dubbed Yarn Carrier

TCL_ItsaPineapple_FullF

With my current Pineapple Lace kick, I was looking to make some small project to keep you entertained before the next Pineapple Lace pattern is due to release. To my surprise, what fell off of my hook w/o planning LOOKED like a PINEAPPLE.

Of course, we all need another yarn carrier (crochet wrist bag), transportation device or a simple small drawstring bag (crochet wrist bag) for knick knacks. If you do make it for smaller items, you may want to line your bag with fabric so your precious items don’t fall through (e.g. hooks).

I did make the blue one in colorway “Swimming Pool Blue” first before it dawned on me that I must make another in the Green and orange/yellow twist.

Finishing

String one drawstring through Round 15 by using yarn needle to guide the drawstring through the holes created by the dc and chain spaces as well as the ch1 spc of the V-Shells.

String the second drawstring with ends of one string hanging out opposite of the bag as the other string.

Use a J/9 (5.5mm) hook
Take the 2 tails together, make a slip knot over the tied ends of the drawstring, ch5, draw both tails through
Cut Yarn
Clip to length you like - in lieu of this way of joining the tail ends of the drawstring, you can also put in a bead or two.
Rpt on the other side

Add a bead on each side if you like, or leave the drawstring as is and you’re done! 😀
